Today was Story Hour at the Library. The previous themes were always winter related but today it switched to spring. They read stories about spring time and then this was the craft the kids painted. Andrew painted the stem and leaf of the flower. I painted his hand and helped him press it on the paper. They also sprinkled it with Jello crystals for decoration and then the flower smelled.
This is the song we all sang to the tune of Up on the roof top. (I think that is what it is called)
Winter is gone and now it's spring.
Flowers bloom and robins sing.
The sunshine is warm; it's nice and bright.
The butterflies are a pretty sight!
Spring, spring, spring! Now it's here.
Spring, spring, spring! Give a cheer!
Winter is gone and now it's spring.
Let's shout, "Hooray! We're glad it's spring!"
