Farmer's Market and Freezing Corn

Saturday morning I had the pleasure of going to the Farmer's Market by myself. It was so nice to browse at all the local produce and not worry about keeping track of the boys or avoiding a melt down. Usually I shy away from baked items at the Farmer's Market, I go there more for the produce. But I saw these two cute sugar cookies and thought they would make two little boys happy. So I bought them. The boys thought they were lots of fun and very good.
I also bought some tomatoes, peppers, squash and 10 dozen ears of corn to freeze. That was our project for the day. I think we started husking them around 10:30 and I had the bags of corn put in the freezer and the kitchen cleaned up around 7 pm. So glad we have that done! Below are maybe half of the ears waiting to be blanched and cut off the cobb.
My sister called as I was still outside husking the corn. I told her we were up to our ears in corn! I didn't actually realize the pun I had said until after I had already said it.
