About Me

Kristi: I am a mother of three wonderful little boys, Andrew ~ 8 years old and Carson ~ 6 years old & Alex ~ 2 years old. Married to my husband Chad of 14 years. Summer of 2007, I became a full time stay at home mom. I enjoy my days with the boys but miss the adult interaction nursing provided. My desire for this blog is to attempt to keep family and friends up to date on the daily events of the boys. I hope it will also help me reflect on the time I have with the boys and remind me of what an awesome job God has blessed me with!

Andrew- "Mom, do you know what kind of baby I'm going to have when I get a wife?" (we will talk about that 'get a wife' thing later) me-no what kind? "A boy baby, so we can tussle!" (7/22/09)
The boys were having one of their little spats and Andrew said "Mom! Carson hit me, so I hit him back." I told him that that isn't what we are supposed to do. You know how that made you feel, you have to think about how that made Carson feel. Andrew replied "Well, I didn't think, I just did it!" (6/09)
As I was dropping Andrew off at preschool today, I told the boys to please walk not run. Andrew responded "We are tip toeing fast not running." (4/29/09)

I told Andrew that I was going to a baby shower tonight. A little while later Andrew said "I don't want you to go to the baby bath!" (4/9/09)
I love how sweet and polite Carson can be. He almost always says "Bless you, Mommy." after I sneeze & "Excuse me Mommy" after he coughs or burps! Such a sweetie! (3/20/09)
As Carson and I walk out to the car after dropping Andrew off at his preschool class everyday, Carson says "Dores first?" (Stores first) which is then usually followed by "Me no nap". (3/18/09)
Carson's vocabulary continues to multiply. He often talks in choppy staccto sentences. Carson- "I. help. you. please. Mom." (2/10/09)
Andrew - "My eye is hot!" Me- "Why is your eye hot? What happened?" A- "I put a buggar in my eye." Yet another reason I don't want him to pick his nose. (2/10/09)
The other day Andrew & I played quite a few new games together. When Chad got home, Andrew told him "We played flap jack and old navy!" aka slap jack and old maid. (1/14/09)
Carson dropped his pacifier one morning and it was still quite dark. In his sweet little voice he said "Paci? Where are you?" (1/09)
While eating some icecream Andrew said "this is so good I could eat a horse!" (11/23/08)
As I was helping Andrew get dressed this morning, he gave me an embarrassed little hug and said "I wish I could marry you Mommy." Isn't that precious? (11/10/08)
"When will I be 4?" In a few weeks. "Then will I be as big as Daddy?" (11/4/08)
At bedtime, I asked Andrew what songs he wanted to sing. He said "Let's sing a song from that blue book that has words in it." Me- you mean the hymnal? Andrew - "Yeah!" (10/29/08)
I have a bit of a headache, Andrew says "I wish I had a headache. I like headaches!" Bizarre child! :) (10/28/08)
Chad was helping put Andrew's socks and shoes on. Andrew said "I like you Dad....but...my sock..." Andrew's sock was a little bunched up, not quite perfect. (That bugs me too!) (9/08)

While going to the bathroom today, Andrew said "I sure am doing a good job going poo-poo Mom." Me- "yes Andrew." Andrew- "I can't believe I'm such a good boy!" (8/18/08)
Andrew is having some issues with not listening very well. Today he said "Am I going to get trapped in the whale?" No, Jonah. (8/15/08)
While driving in the car, Andrew was nonstop talking as he had been all day long. I said "Andrew, I could use a little quiet time." A-"Why?" K-"just because" A little while later, it was fairly quiet and I was singing quietly to the radio when I hear Andrew say "Mom, I could use a little quiet time." (8/14/08)
Andrew was singing a song he learned in Sunday School, "The B-I-B-L-E, yes that's the book for me...." when he got to the end he shouted "BYE-BYE!" instead of "Bible!" (7/6/08)
While driving home from church, Andrew said "Can we go to a restaurant so Mommy doesn't have to cook?" That's my boy! Thanks for looking out for me. (6/29/08)
At our friends dairy farm, Andrew walked up to the fence where the calves were and said "Hi. I'm Andrew." like he does with lots of children. (6/27/08)
As we were driving home, Andrew spotted our large geese population in our neighborhood. He said "Goose!" Chad asked "What are the geese doing" Andrew replied "Umh, maybe pooping or maybe eating." Isn't that the truth!! (6/08)
As we were driving in the car today, Andrew said "Don't squish him Mom." Don't squish what? "Don't squish that motorcycle Mom!" There was a motorcycle in front of us. (6/5/08)

Andrew is hanging from our island coutertop, swinging back and forth. I told him to stop doing that & that he knows he isn't supposed to do that. Andrew said "I thought you couldn't see me." (5/22/08)

I asked Andrew this morning, "When did you come in Mommy & Daddy's room last night? I don't remember you getting in bed with us." Andrew looked at the invisible watch on his wrist & said "Hmm, 40 minutes". (5/19/08)
I asked Chad a question about his parents, Andrew very sadly said "I wish I had parents." (5/17/08)
"It's growing straight up, like a bean stop!" Andrew (5/16/08)
After returning from a walk, we were playing outside and Andrew said "Do we have pastas?" me- "pastas?" "Yeah, like those people had at their house?" me-"oh, Hostas?" "Yeah! Hostas!" (5/16/08)
While I was putting together some recycling in the garage, Andrew came to the door and said "What is all the racken?" (5/15/08)
