On Christmas morning the four of us packed up and headed to my parents' for the weekend. We got there about noon, just in time for a great meal. My parents and my younger brother Tim were all there. We had a great afternoon and evening just hanging out at my parents' and playing with the boys.
Uncle Tim & Grandpa took in a game of Battleship with the boys.

Saturday morning we headed over to the church I grew up attending. My mom's side of the family was meeting there for brunch and several hours of fellowship. If I counted correctly, there were 80 people there! One of my mom's sisters, her husband and their family were in AZ celebrating their 50th wedding Anniversary and the marriage of their youngest daughter. Two people didn't come due to being sick, but I think everyone else was able to come. So good to see family, see how the children have grown and changed and try to catch up with what is happening in their lives.
After that we all headed back to my parents'. We opened gifts and shared another wonderful meal together. Andrew thought it was pretty neat, but yet maybe a little odd that Grandpa received a toy for Christmas. We all got him a remote control boat that he will be able to drive around in their pool this summer. (I apologize Tricia, for some reason I do not have any pictures of you.)

That night Carson was so tired. He had been sick earlier in the week with croup and was just really worn out that evening. I was trying to get him ready for bed but he insisted on Grandpa putting his pajamas (cozy jammies) on. (He often insists on Grandma doing it.) So Grandpa did. He also read him one of his new books while snuggling under the "blanken".
Sunday morning we went to church with my parents. It is always enjoyable to go to church at my parents at Christmas. So good to see family and friends that I grew up with and mentors in the church.
After church we headed to Ben & Kristy's house for my neice Abby's second birthday party. She had a very cute Max & Ruby party. We left for home from their house. The drive was a bit stressful because it was snowing a lot. We came to a stand still on I-75 after seeing many cars off the road. We decided to get off of I-75 by taking one of the on ramps. We found a different way home that had less traffic but still plenty of cars in ditches! It took us over 4 hours to get home instead of the 2 1/4-2 1/2 hours that it should have! Not fun but so thankful to have made it home safely.
