Kicking myself

Sept. 14, 2011.  Really?  That is the last time I posted on this here blog?  I don't believe it!  But yet I do!  Life is busy.  We have had many events in the past nearly 3 months, blog worthy events, but yet not time for me to actually blog about them!

I recently made a photo book using pictures and posts from this blog.  This book I made were from posts from July 2009 - Jan. 2010.  I used Picaboo.  It turned out great!  (I have used Shutterfly in the past to make books too and have been thrilled with them as well.)  I had purchased a Groupon for Picaboo for this photo book.  I paid $25 for $75 worth of photo book!  What a deal!  Right now Groupon as a deal for Picaboo pay $10 for $40 or $20 for $55 or $40 for $120 worth of photo book.  I snapped up this deal again, purchased the $20 or $55 but maybe I should have bought the $40 for $120 ~ WOW!

It took a lot of time to make this book, but you can make them really quickly as well.  I enjoyed looking through these posts and pictures from 2 years ago.  It brought back so many memories.  Carson was just nearing 3 years old and had so many cute little sayings. That time also had our last family vacation with my family to The Outer Banks in it.

Making this photo book made me really upset with myself as well.  Upset that I have let nearly 3 months go and not a single post.  No update on Alex's issues, or turning 5, 6, and now 7 months old!  No birthday post for Andrew or Carson.  I hope to get them completed, but honestly my memory is not as fresh had I posted these events at the correct time. I need to do better at blogging because I don't have the gift of remembering little details like some people do.  And I want to remember these days!  I don't know how soon I will actually get these events posted...we are planning a baby shower open house for my sister and brother in law as they are expecting their first child, all the boys various activities, my family is coming here for Christmas for the first time due to Chad's work schedule....busy time of year!

But for now I will leave you with an image of something that is bringing me a sense of peace.  Last night this piano was delivered and tuned in our home.  Before this space in our sun/play room was occupied with a book shelf with lots of books and toys on it, plus toys in front of it, overflowing!  I can see into this room from our kitchen island where I spent a lot of time preparing food these days.  Looking over at this space gives me a little boost, a pretty piano free of clutter.  Andrew would like to take piano lessons and I would like to refresh my piano skills as well, maybe I will be able to once again play the treble cleft and base cleft at the same time!
