Looking forward to a new week

Last week was a bit rough....the boys & I all had the dreaded GI illness. Miserable! Now we all have colds but I can deal with that! Andrew has missed so much preschool this month, mostly from snow but missed two days last week due to the GI bug and one snow day. In fact I don't think he has had a full week of preschool this whole month because of snow. This week the boys & I were home bound from Sunday afternoon until Thurs. morning....well not really but we didn't leave the house! Talk about stir crazy! As we were backing out of the garage to take Andrew to preschool, Carson said "It's too bright!" and I don't think it was even sunny - just bright from all the snow and not being out of the house.

This picture was taken before church on Valentine's Day. Andrew has been standing in front of the TV and watching shows recently...Carson joined him this morning.

Here are the boys watching a DVD on the portable DVD player. This was taken on Wed. this week. The day after Andrew was sick. He probably could have gone to preschool this day but I wanted to make sure he was ok. The boys are wearing matching outfits here, something that doesn't happen very often. When Chad & I were in TN in Jan. we did some shopping. I found these Superman T-shirts at Old Navy for less than $2.00. I knew the boys would be thrilled with them!

Andrew is "reading" this book to Carson. Such a sweet moment! This was in the afternoon on Thurs., the only day Andrew made it to preschool this week.

Carson licking the paddle to the mixer after I made Chad his birthday cake. It was Chad's birthday yesterday! He requested a chocolate cake with white icing. Perfect! - my favorite too! :) Chad took Andrew with him yesterday morning to see a few post op patients and then the two of them went out to eat for breakfast. Andrew really enjoyed this time with just Dad! In the evening we all went out to eat to celebrate Chad's birthday. Nice family time.

Carson is going poop on the potty! (most of the time) So his reward was a Batman costume. (The cape/eye pieces are a bit out of place in the above picture.) He enjoys playing with Andrew's Superman costume & had been asking for his own costume. So we told him when he started going #2 on the pot, then we would get him a costume. He chose Batman!
