Spring Break

This week is Andrew's spring break from preschool. I thought we might do some fun things, like go to the zoo or check out this place in Newark called The Works that we have heard good things about but haven't visited our selves yet or get together with friends.

But on Sunday night Andrew vomited around 1:30. (I will not give full detail but if you'd rather not read about illness move on down to the pictures.) Carson was sleeping in Andrew's bed (we had implemented that last Thurs. night because the previous two nights Carson was up a lot during the night crying because he was scared and then eventually ended up in our bed. We really didn't want to go through this again with Carson - Andrew spent many hours on the floor in our room over a year and a half!) So anyways... Chad and I were changing both boys pjs and Andrew's sheets. And then we did send Carson back to his crib. Andrew only vomited that one time, but was awake more throughout the night. Mon., Tues, and Wed. he acted ok, but would complain that his stomach hurt intermittently and just didn't eat much at all. I thought he was ok Tues. evening but then he had diarrhea on Wed. The rest of us have remained healthy and are hoping we stay that way! We are looking forward to Easter weekend and spending it with family; as long as Chad, Carson & I stay healthy.

Because of this we have not been able to do fun things. Andrew did feel well enough to play, so we have been going outside and enjoying this wonderful spring weather. But I didn't feel like we could go anywhere or be with other people.

Yesterday I found him watching TV like this....

I told him that I didn't think it was a good idea to hang upside down like that when his stomach was sensitive. He said "It helps me feel better." Sure. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle costume was given to us from a neighbor/friend. The boys love the costumes.

I took this picture last night. (I didn't notice the huge sweat or drool stain on Andrew's pillow when I was peeking in on them; only after viewing the picture on our camera!) I thought it was cute how their heads were touching and what an odd position Andrew's head was in....perhaps his head was leaning back that way because of how wet his pillow was!!
