New Shoes

A few weeks ago after putting Andrew's tennis shoes on him, I realized how little they were. His poor big toe was right up to the edge. So I decided to go get him new shoes. I went to Stride Rite but didn't really see any shoes that I liked. They didn't carry New Balance, which we often get for him because he needs a wide shoe, we like their styles and the price is usually a little more reasonable than some others. She measured his feet and he needed a 9 1/2 wide shoe. (Boy did I feel like a horrible mother! The shoes he was wearing were a 7 1/2! His poor little toes!) She mentioned that there was another mall that had a New Balance store, so we went to the other mall. He got a new pair of shoes, that he refers to as "his Buckeye shoes".

This past Saturday we were looking for shoes for Carson. We went to Stride Rite (at a different mall) I have never seen anything like this! The store is kind of small and PACKED with parents and children. I couldn't figure out how people were being helped. So I finally asked one of the mothers. She said you needed to sign in and then they call your name. We walked out. Too much for us and these two boys. We went to the New Balance store there. They only had one pair in Carson's size (I was surprised to find out that Carson needed a wide shoe as well. I didn't think there was ANYTHING wide about Carson!) and they just happened to be the same style as Andrew's. They also were only half as much money as the ones at Stride Rite. (I love a good bargain!)

This is the first pair of hard soled tennis shoes Carson has had. He is soo funny when you first put them on him. He prances around and also marches while doing high knees. I love their little shoes! Andrew's are starting to not be so little anymore. :(
