Bummed

A neighbor friend recently gave us some wall stickers. They had used them in their sons room the past 3 years and decided to redecorate his room. The wall stickers are of cars, trucks, airplanes....and this is actually what I had been thinking of decorating Andrew's room with. We haven't done a thing to his room in the year that we have lived here. I had hoped that maybe if we did something fun to his room, that he might want to sleep in there all night, instead of coming to our room. Perhaps the floor is more comfortable than his bed.

So we got him these sheets for his bed. I really like the print, they are soo cute. They have cars, trucks, airplanes, trains, tractors...But they are not very soft, infact pretty stiff. I actually read a couple of reviews that women said they were really stiff. But I thought, the sheets that were on Andrew's bed were from Kohls and not high quality sheets and he has never complained about these sheets. So we ordered them. I washed them (with fabric softener)and put them on his bed. The first night or two, he didn't mention anything. Then two nights ago, he said "These sheets are scratchy, they just make me itch". He pushed the sheet way down and pulled up his comforter instead, and Andrew is a hot little guy. He will not cover up with them. Even tonight when he has long sleeved and long pant pjs on. I covered him up with the sheet and told him he wouldn't feel it cause of his long pants. Nope, he pushed them way down again.

I'm not happy with the sheet quality either. I know we payed more for these sheets than the ones from Kohls and the Kohls are much nicer. I've already washed them once and he has slept in them. Can't exactly return them. I am bummed.
