We do struggle with the dirty dish cloth smell. Not really sure I should share this, may make me seem unclean...but sometimes I will wash down the counter top or table and go off to do something else. Then I will think, "my hands smell funny." Yep, from the dish cloth. GROSS!! I don't know if I use them too many times before putting them in the wash pile in laundry room, wait too long to wash them once they are in the wash pile, or just need to throw out the dish cloths! (some are 9 years old!) I do sometimes use bleach when washing them or add vinegar to the washer water when washing and that does help sometimes. I guess I am a little relieved (at your expense) that other people have issues with the dirty dish cloth too! :)

Mine used to and sometimes after awhile still will. What I found out, from my mom, is that if you don't wring them out thoroughly in between uses then it will develope a smell. Once it does start smelling I don't know if that rag will ever be the same. Atleast that seems to work for me.
