Andrew's First day of Preschool (2nd year)

This morning was Andrew's first day of Preschool, his second year at the same preschool. He was really looking forward to going back to preschool but also mentioned that he would miss his friends from last year. He was in the afternoon class last year and became friends with several boys who are now going to kindergarten.

This year he is in the morning session. I hope to do some things such as story time at the library with just Carson in the mornings, as well as a playgroup we have been attending - most of the children in the playgroup are Carson's age or younger, which was sometimes difficult for Andrew. I also thought it would be good for me; get me up and going! I sometimes, especially in the winter, like to take the morning easy - maybe a little too easy sometimes!!

Andrew had a good morning, he was happy to be left there and happy to see Carson & I when we picked him up. As far as details - I don't get any. When I ask him about it, his response is "Mom, I don't really want to talk about it." But then he will mention things out of the blue when he is ready to talk about it.

Carson and I headed off to MOPS meeting this morning after dropping Andrew off, something we will most likely attend the first and third Tuesdays of each month. So tomorrow will be the first real morning Carson and I are home with out Andrew. As we drove out to the church where MOPS is, Carson asked several times "Where Andrew is?"

It was chilly at 8:20 this morning but sunny. I'm not ready for the cooler weather, especially after being at the beach last week...more to come on that.
