OBX, North Carolina

We spent last week with my family in Nags Head, North Carolina. This is a family favorite vacation spot. Plenty of time to relax, soak up the sun, and enjoy some great seafood restaurants. This year we are all there except my older brother Ben and his family. They have two girls ages 20 months & 3 months, thought it might be a bit much right now to take them. Next time!

We had a great week. The weather was really nice. We got there Saturday evening. It rained on Saturday and Sunday morning due to Hurricane Bill. The waves were rough and we weren't allowed to swim until Monday morning. It was really nice the rest of the week. Again the Saturday we left it was rainy due to Hurricane Danny(?).

Here are some beach pictures. Andrew loved the ocean again. Each time we go, Andrew gets a little more brave. (Hard to believe Andrew has been to the Outer Banks 3 times already!) He had this never ending game of grabbing two handfuls of sand/small stone/shells and throwing it at the waves as they crashed into him. Later on it became just punching the waves - such violence! I'm not sure which took more of a beating, Andrew or the waves! He didn't even mind getting knocked down or the wave crashing over his head. He always came up with a smile. Carson was a little more timid but also enjoyed the water and sand. Chad buried the boys in the sand and made them look like turtles. There is also a pic of Justin & Tim playing catch - nice tan lines Justin!

(I guess I will post these in mulitple posts since I can't figure out how to do multiple collages in a post. You can click on the collage to see it larger.)
