I did go down in our unfinished basement this morning to use our eliptical machine ~ thinking this would improve my mood. Well working out at the hotel was much nicer; the machine itself is better quality, I had a TV right in front of me to watch, with headphones or pleasant music to listen to and lots of windows to enjoy the Arizona scenery. Instead today I was in our drab basement, which was even worse today since the lack of sunshine, and Andrew and Carson were playing down there as well. So during my workout I was constantly saying "Let Carson have a turn" or "Don't chase your brother with the scooter" or "Can you give Andrew the bat" or "Please don't talk so angry" ....

However on the flip side of all this rain, everything seemed so green when we got home. We had over 3 inches of rain in the rain gauge in the week that we were gone. The grass in particular was very green and very long! The leaves
on the trees were much larger than before we left, flowers on the tree in front of our house had bloomed, more flowers on the bleeding heart and some of the bulbs that we had planted were coming up.Yesterday the boys and I enjoyed going for a walk in the morning, watched some workers move dirt around and dig for a new house a couple lots from our house, played outside in the afternoon. Last evening Chad mowed the lawn ~ Andrew helped for a little while. There is something about the sight, smell, sound of the lawnmower and a freshly mowed green lawn that is very refreshing to me. The boys and I were playing baseball while Chad finished up mowing... Andrew said "Do you want to join us?!" Today Andrew keeps asking "Can we go outside?", "Can we go to the park?" Oh, how I wish we could!
Here are the boys playing bumper bikes. Andrew is constantly pushing limits, checking his boundaries with us and it is no different when playing with Carson. When riding his trike, he gets as close as possible to Carson - usually without hitting him.

I laughed at your post today Kristi. Not laughing at your misery, but just imagining your workouts - in Arizona vs. the one in your basement made me smile. :) We're going through the same gloomy days as you. Hopefully this weekend will be nice. Welcome home!
I have felt your pain this week, Kristi. I think my lack of energy is a combo of the cool weather and a bit of sadness that vaction is over. Where oh where is that warm Arizona sun?
I'm glad you laughed at my post today Jill. After writing it I felt badly because it could be much worse, I could be suffering from the earthquake or the tsunami and here I am complaining about a little rain and gloom!
