What is your favorite topping for strawberry shortcake?

Some sort of whipped topping - 3 (27%)

My favorite topping is milk. The shortcake recipe I usually make is the one my mom would always make. The recipe is my Grandma Stuckey's and it is actually called Busy Day Cake. I like to pour milk over the shortcake, put it in the microwave to warm it up a bit and then put the strawberries on top. I prefer the strawberries crisp, not soft and micorwavey.

My mom would often make this in the summer and serve it as the main course for dinner. I remember the first time I made this for Chad. He was a little puzzled, saying something like ~ this is for supper? But it quickly turned to satisfaction, if you know Chad's sweet tooth you can totally understand why he didn't object to this. Why not have desert for supper ~ at least every once in a while!
