Wednesday we spent the afternoon with our friends Brandt & Renee. (Brandt is currently one of the senior residents at the program Chad attended) We had lunch together, grabbed some wonderful icecream at a place called The Gelato Spot, and then went to the Arizona Diamondbacks baseball game that evening. Below is a picture of the four of us at the game (courtesy of Renee's blog ~ Thanks Renee!) I am holding my hand so strangely because I had just squeezed the hotdog wrapper and squirting ketchup all over my hand! Where is the diaper bag with wipes when I need one!!
Thursday evening all the previous and present Residents & spouses/families had a meal together at a Brazilian Steakhouse. What an experience! I hadn't eaten at a Brazilian steakhouse before, I might still be full from that meal! It was fun to see everyone and meet some of the physicians that have graduated from the program.
I have also done some shopping/looking at the mall here in Scottsdale. Yesterday Renee and I saw the movie Maid of Honor. A typical chick flick that we were confident neither of our spouses would want to watch with us, but we both enjoyed it! We also visited Sprinkles Cupcakes. Really delicious cupcakes and a fun place to go, despite the wait, but a tad over priced ~ what isn't these days!
Tomorrow we head home. Andrew & Carson have had a good week with grandparents. I have enjoyed talking to them on the phone and just hearing their voices in the background. My conversations with Carson consisted of his sweet little voice saying "hi, hi" and responding "yes" to everything I asked and of course "bye". Andrew enjoys telling of his adventures with grandma and grandpa. I am really looking forward to seeing them!!
